G-Dogg Racing - Voss Ranch March 2008

Team G-Dogg Racing has again been invited by Heath Voss to stay at his ranch outside of San Antonio Texas for some early spring training. Here the guys have had some time to learn some of the trade secrets from one of Minnesota's own Motocross heros, as well as a few tricks that Heath himself picked up from others in his career such as Donny Schmidt. What are those tricks? Sorry , as Jessica Kerber may say "we aint telling".

The weather on this trip has been quite warm so far, with temperatures expected to be rising into the 90's on Thursday and Friday, Seat time is going to be both hot and exhausting! Keep track of our gallery for images. So far we have a good sample of images taken on this trip, including Heath Voss, on his Supermoto bike, and his minnesota friend Darren Chelin who is both a great rider, and mechanic.

The end-of-the-year outdoor supercross banquets brings about a time to look back at the past season for team G-Dogg Racing.

James Kerber:

Competed in the 50cc chain class this year. He received 4 wins, (4) 2nd place finishes and (3) 3rd place at both Motokazie and Brainerd Used Car Series. He finished runner-up for the season championship in the Motokazie series and was 5th overall at Brainerd.

Tim Kerber:

Competed in the 85cc age 7-11 class. He received 5 top 5 finishes for his efforts and finished 7th over all in the Motokazie series. After a slow start, he finished strong with 5 top 5’s at Brainerd for 8th over all.

Adam Kerber:
Made the move to the ultra competitive 125B class abord his trusty 2006 Kawasaki 250f. Adam received 1 win and (5) 3rd places and finished 2nd overall in the Motokazie supercross series. Adam’s highlight for the year was a 1st place finish at Gays Mills. He also had 2 top 5’s at Brainerd for 10th overall there. Adam also took part in AMA races in both Mankato and Spring Creek MN during the 2007 season, extending his Motocross race experience even further.

Mike Will:

Competed in the 85cc age 12-15 class and the 85-105 Open/Super-mini class. With a combined (3) 1st place, (12) 2nd place and (5) 3rd place in the 85 class and (6) 1st place, (9) 2nd place and (6) 3rd place finishes in the Open/super-mini class. These impressive totals earned Mike the Motokazie Season Championship in both classes. He finished 13 in 85 and 7 in Super-mini at Brainerd after competing in only 6 races there. Mike’s highlight for the season was winning the heat & feature in both classes at Brainerd on a Friday night, then following that up Saturday night with winning both the heat & feature in both classes at Cannon Falls in the Motokazie circuit.

Matt Wellumson:

Matt spent most of the season running mxmatt.com, however did take an opportunity to race a handful of 15-29 Open class races, finishing 11th in points and managed a 5th place finish during the season. Matt is Dedicated to getting back on the track starting in spring 2008, and may attend one of the winter motocross events.

Everyone at G-Dogg Racing would like to thank all those who help keep our team running with kindness and support. The riders want to thank Pauline Kerber for everything she does – and we mean everything!

This season was dedicated to the memory of Glen Kerber. These awards earned are a reflection of his dedication to the sport. Without his passion, none of the riders would be so successful on and off the track. For that, we say Thank you Glen!
